Baseball Volunteers at Miracle League
By Jennifer Sills | October 29, 2009
On Friday, October 23, the Wake Tech baseball team volunteered with the Miracle League of the Triangle. Each team member buddied with a player from the Miracle League to play a baseball game. After game one, Wake Tech players decided to stay and play another game with a different group of children.
The Miracle League provides special needs children the opportunity to play baseball. Currently, the Miracle League has over 200 players (18 teams) and over 500 volunteers.
As you can see from the pictures, a lot of fun was had by everyone!

2009 Start! Triangle Heartwalk
By Jennifer Sills | September 28, 2009
On Sunday, September 27, Coach Kiec and the Wake Tech baseball team participated in the 2009 Start! Triangle Heartwalk at the RBC Center in Raleigh. This great event brings the community together to help fight heart disease and stroke.
The team participated in the walk and helped raise over $500! However, the fun started before the walk when some of the guys got on stage and helped lead the warm-up activity.
Thanks for representing Wake Tech well!
