Chris coached junior varsity and varsity baseball at Cary High School. Originally from Ohio, Kiec was captain of the Division III Mount Union College baseball team, where he still holds two records - most home runs in a season and most doubles in a season. He is currently a math teacher at Reedy Creek Middle School and active in the Miracle League of the Triangle, which provides opportunites for children with special needs to play baseball.

Division III Mount Union College - 4 years (1995-1999)
Kiec acted as captain, played outfield, won 1st team all-conference his junior year, and honorable mention all-conference his senior year. He left the College holding four records: most RBI in a season, most doubles in a season, most home runs in a season, and most home runs in career.
